Great nostagic song. What it is about this song that I never realized is that Its like the uploader comment “slightly edgy”. Now I’m sure that is does refer to Abilene Texas, I guess the comment down there means Kansas?. Its an all-time classic and glad to hear it 1 more time. Thanks George.

Make sense since Abilene, TX is like an armpit.

This always gave me the creeps when I was little—–about five or so. Not really bad. Not to the point where I wouldn’t listen at all, but this does have a slightly spooky quality to it.

Rainstormsz28. Pure singing. Just pure singing. Hamilton has had a distinguished career that goes back decades.

“Nothing in this town for me. Wish to the Lord that i could be in Abilene, sweet Abilene.” Beautiful!

@RIProrygallagher I’m an Irishman, too, and I didn’t know that about “Abiliene” — that it’s about the town in Kansas, not Texas — thanks, from one Shamrock to another!
